The philosophy was to create very high quality, go-anywhere yacht that was fast, easy to sail and comfortable for leisure sailors who wanted to widen their horizons and wanted a first-class high-quality comfortable yacht. This has been achieved in every aspect.
GT35-01 was built in 2014 for the launch of the range at the Southampton boat show. She was then very lightly used as a demonstrator. Windboats suffered financial difficulties their owner passed away and the boat was taken ashore. In 2018 the current owners purchased her as a new yacht with full guarantees on her. They proceeded to fit her out for an extended cruise of the British Isles which they completed this year. For this cruise, they installed numerous items of new equipment including a hybrid touchscreen Raymarine plotter with latest AIS transceiver, new sails from Sanders in Lymington and a high-end Webasto hot air heating system.
It must be said that they were extremely happy with their GT 35 which handled all the conditions they met with ease and was very comfortable and safe for the duration of their UK circumnavigation. Accommodation :
This GT 35 is the grand tour layout, she has 6 berths in total. Interior design is by Chris Lock ( formerly with Oyster yachts). The forward cabin has a large double berth which is offset for easy access and has a purpose-made 5-inch mattress. There are two hanging lockers and storage under the berth. The saloon is light, comfortable and spacious with the berths covered in Alcantara Avant upholstery. The dining table folds and has bottle storage. The galley is attractive with Avonite solid worktops, twin stainless steel sinks, efficient keel-cooled refrigerator, and a quality Dometic 3 burner cooker with grill and oven. The navigation station is to starboard with a large chart table, practical and secure navigators seat and good storage.
The heads are large and the work surfaces are in Avonite. There is a shower, Jabsco toilet, ventilated wet locker and holding tank. The double aft cabin is to port with a hanging locker and is unusually bright, spacious and well-ventilated thanks toa large hatch that opens into the cockpit.
