Tahini is an agile, swift and practical cruiser with excellent windward capability.

Tahini, designed by Holman and Pye was launched in 1976 and has had only two owners since 1980. We bought her from the Weymouth racing fleet in 1998 and have enjoyed some club racing but mainly local and extensive, adventurous cruises along the south coast, and to Scilly, Ireland and Brittany. Sadly our sailing days have been curtailed by illness and she has not been used since 2021.

She has been on a swinging mooring off our home village of Flushing in Falmouth harbour and been laid up ashore every winter. She is fast, agile and close winded and a joy to sail, her design, sail plan and rig making her well balanced and easy to steer from her comfortable cockpit. Fin keel. Draft 1.5metres. 

Masthead rigged, with rigging kept in good order, last replaced in 2017, Tahini has a small main with rarely needed slab reefing, 4 different sizes of hanked on foresails, the most frequently used being nearly new, some very recently valeted. Triradial spinnaker plus all gear. Harken blocks. Lewmar 2 speed winches. Good ground tackle. Yanmar 1GM10 diesel engine serviced annually by agent. Gori folding prop. Raymarine speed/depth. GPS VHF with DSC. SeaMe radar transponder. Full size chart table. Liferaft. Avon Redstart. 

Accommodation 4 berths. 2 settee, quarter and pilot. Jabsco heads. Galley area. Ample stowage areas.
