Perdita is a centre wheelhouse motor cruiser, structured on pitch pine, larch and iroko on oak and built in 1931 by Taylor and Bates, a well known builder of Thames motor craft. She is remarkable for her excellent handling and manoeuvring qualities, helped by a decent keel and bilge keels.

Builder: Taylor and Bates Year of Build: 1931 Length: 30’ Beam: 9’ 6” Propulsion: 80hp Nanni Diesel power engine Boat Safety Certificate Expiries 19th November 2020 Description of Boat This traditional family cruiser includes; · 2 berths in the stern cabin and further 2 berths in the main saloon, she has plenty of space for group meals. · The separate galley is forward of the saloon and the enclosed toilet is in the fore-peak. · There is also plenty of space on deck, as well as in the wheel house, for groups and she has been used regularly for photographic parties. · Diesel powered central heating and hot water and calor gas stove. History of the traditional wooden Thames cruiser; She spent her early life in Bristol Channel area until brought for her restoration by previous owners in the mid 1990’s. This ‘bottom up’ restoration was completed by Michael Dennett’s boat yard in Chertsey in 1997. She was bought by current owners in 2008. Perdita has an 80hp Nanni diesel engine, dating from the restoration which is situated under the spacious centre wheelhouse floor. The engine and systems have been serviced annually, she has been refurbished by Michael Dennett, including some new planks and stem in 2012.
