The condition or level of safety equipment on board is not to be negotiated on following survey. It is likely to be listed by most surveyors but is not structural or an integral working part of the vessel and is not to be used to further negotiate the price down after survey. We strongly suggest that for your own personal safety that when purchasing a yacht you provide new safety equipment rather than relying on second hand gear.

Should you become the new owner of this yacht then the responsibility to re-register or update official bodies for items such as EPIRB, VHF, MMSI or AIS becomes yours.

Comments

A well equipped and maintained blue water cruising yacht, an ideal liveaboard.

Massive update and maintenance schedule during current ownership, full details of this accompanying log available on request.

A centre cockpit cruiser with split cabin classic popular amongst the traditional live-a-boards community, the sturdy substantially constructed build lends itself to blue water cruising with this yacht finding herself at ease in turbulent sea conditions.
(See examples on YouTube of Victory 40 in distant seas, Bora Bora)

Her comprehensive safety inventory combined with a substantially protected, deep centre cockpit provides excellent security regardless of the weather conditions.

Re-engined in 1999 and only turning over 2250 hours on the clock (new meter installed by current owners showing 50 hrs), her Mermaid Melody II 90hp main engine supplies the boat with ample propulsion, also driving 2 alternators which in turn charge 440 amp new AGM domestic and 220 amp AGM engine batteries installed May 2019 ensures you’re never short of power.

To help with manoeuvrability the Victory 40 is equipped with a Sleipner Side Power bow thruster to further aid light handed sailors all lines are led back to the cockpit and the in-mast furling prevents any unnecessary deck work. There is also a custom made mount aft for an accessory engine which can aid manoeuvrability especially when going astern, or as an auxiliary engine.

Last survey May 2015
