French boat builder Wauqiuez has in recent years produced a series of Pilot Saloon yachts, all designed by Berret Racoupeau. The Wauqiuez Pilot Saloon range has proven incredibly popular with cruisers, the sleek hull providing performance capable of eating up the ocean miles while the elevated deck saloon provides a bright and spacious interior with panoramic views and huge amounts of storage space. At the smaller end of the range the Wauqiuez 40 Pilot Saloon has gained a loyal following among short handed cruisers with the rig ideally suited to short handed sailing. A ‘solent’ type cutter rig providing a larger genoa with a self-tacking jib mounted on an inner forestay. Below decks the PS40 offers two double cabins, both with en-suite heads. A large linear galley with fridge and separate freezer and the elevated deck saloon which converts to an occasional double berth.
Purchased by her current owners in 2020 the Wauqiuez Pilot Saloon 40 QWYVER has enjoyed some recent upgrading. Offered for sale due to a change in circumstances the her inventory highlights include:
Lying in Ardfern Yacht Centre the Wauquiez Pilot Saloon 40 QWYVER will be coming ashore for the winter later in October. She is available for immediate viewing by prior appointment.
