The Joli Roger is a very spacious bespoke inland waterways cruising barge built in 2013 by Bluewater Boats. Competitively priced as we have an active vendor. She is in superb condition both inside and out and being 17m x 3.8m makes her an ideal livaboard for cruising both the UK and European waterways.
She was built with a chine making her highly responsive to the wheel steer helm, therefore dramatically improving manoeuvrability, A chine also facilitates mooring in shallow waters and with a draught of just 0.65m and airdraught of just 2.2m she can cruise just about anywhere.
The Joli Roger has a raised front deck to minimise the down flooding points whilst in the larger locks of Europe or just caught in an unexpected storm the shorter raised deck also allows for more internal cabin space.
The Barge was externally shot blasted (except base plate) Under the waterline is painted with a two pack epoxy blacking (last blacked May 2018) Above the waterline is painted in a two pack paint system to provide prolonged impact & abrasion protection. A survey from June 2019 is available to prospective purchasers
Fitted with hydraulic wheel steering and 95kgf electric bowthruster to enable defined steering of the boat. She has a square canvas wheelhouse with removable panels over a rounded square stern, with stowage lockers and a curved wraparound seating area to maximise the outdoor space.
She has an 80hp Vetus Engine, space for a generator and two 270 watt roof mounted solar panels so the boat can be self sufficient in power fuel and water for up to a fortnight.
She is fitted out using only the finest quality materials and insulated with sprayed polyurethane foam and lined with solid oak throughout.
The barge is British built and conforms to Recreational Craft Directive, Category D.
