LADY OF RUDDING is one of the immensely popular and well-built motor-yachts resulting from the collaboration between the talent naval architect J Francis Jones and Dagless Yacht Builders of Wisbech, Cambridgshire.
LADY OF RUDDING was built in 1964 for G Morfitt of Rudding, Harrogate, he stationed the vessel in Salcombe, Devon. In the mid 1970s Alec Hewitt of Cornwall bought LADY OF RUDDING moving her to a mooring at St Mawes. In the current ownership the vessel has been kept on a residential mooring in the floating harbour, Bristol not far from SS GREAT BRITAIN. Moorings in the harbour are much sought-after and ideal location for living aboard or weekends/holidays afloat within a few minutes walk of the City centre.
Carvel iroko hull on oak timbers and frames. Iroko laid decks and painted mahogany superstructure. 2.5 ton lead ballast keel.
Comfortable accommodation for six in three cabins with central deck saloon.
PAIR 78hp GARDNER 5LW DIESEL ENGINES – 2,484 hours port engine, 2,408 starboard engine.
