With it's shallow draft of 2' 4" it is great for sailing on rivers and estuaries as well as cruising around the coasts. The spacious cockpit is deep thus providing a safe area for children and pets. The cockpit and adjoining wheelhouse have cushioned seating allowing 6 adults and 2 children to be seated all in one area of the boat making it great for families. The large cockpit also lends itself to those interested in fishing. The boat can comfortably sleep four adults, two in the fore cabin and two in the aft cabin. The cockpit and wheelhouse roof are protected with a recently renewed canvas enclosure. On warm dry days the enclosure easily folds away providing an open cockpit and sun trap. The cushions in both cabins and wheelhouse were recently re-covered using a top of the range vinyl fabric. The two cabins can be heated using the EBERSPACHER air blown heater system which runs on the same fuel as the engine. This was renewed in 2011 and is very efficient. The galley has ample storage cupboards and shelves, a stainless steel sink with pumped water and a propane gas hob with two burners and a grill. There is a sea toilet with wash hand basin and mirror set in it's own wood paneled enclosure with a door giving privacy. The vessel is powered by a modern 29HP YANMAR diesel engine which produces 6KTS cruising and 8KTS top speed with sails hoisted. The engine starts first time every time and has never let the owner down. The rig is Bermudan Sloop, the foresail is a genoa which can be roller reefed and was new in 2015. The mainsail is older and in serviceable condition. Both sails have new covers. Included in the sale is an 8ft Quicksilver inflatable tender with oars and a Mercury outboard motor. The construction of the hull and decks is G.R.P. With long keel and bilge keels, allowing beaching at low tide. Dimensions of the craft: - LOA 25', Beam 8' 6", draft 2'4", displacement 1.6 ton.
