Aquila Boats is one of the largest builders of power cats in the world, with 10 models in its line-up ranging from 28-foot sport fishing boats to 70-foot luxury yachts. It is making waves in a burgeoning sector and is consistently innovating. Search for new and used Aquila Boats for sale refining by price, location, and size.
In just over a decade, Aquila Boats has created an impressive line-up of 10 models across four ranges. The ground-breaking Offshore Series features high-performance sport fishing power cats including the 28 Molokai, 28 Molokai Cuddy, and 47 Molokai. While the 28 models are designed for serious offshore anglers, their impressive stability and range of family-friendly features—including tow sports, cruising, or sun lounging—make them highly versatile. The 48 Molokai takes things to a new level, and this luxurious center console is as impressive as an offshore fishing machine as it is as a luxury cruiser.
The Sport Series consists of the 32 Sport and the 36 Sport, each offering high-performance, the latest in technology, and a smooth and comfortable ride.
Aquila is one of the leaders when it comes to motor catamaran yachts and currently has four in its Yacht Series. The newest is the 50 Yacht, an explorer-style vessel with high freeboards, replacing the popular Aquila 48. With three cabins including a full-beam master cabin, it is designed to travel farther with more comfort. Others in this range include the 42, 44, and 54 Yacht, the latter having won Multihull of the Year in 2021 for its daring design and sheer versatility.
Mention must also be made of the 70 Luxury, the largest motor cat in Aquila’s line-up and the brand’s flagship model. This luxury yacht manages to be both long-range explorer as well as sophisticated cruiser.
Aquila Boats is one of the world’s largest builders of mid-sized power catamarans, with a huge line-up that ranges from 28-foot sport fishing vessels to 70-foot luxury yachts. The brand, part of Sino Eagle Yachts, was launched in 2012 when Lex Raas, Bill McGill (CEO of MarineMax), and the Xiong family—owners of Sino Eagle Yachts—collaborated to begin creating new and innovative power cats.
The very first Aquila Boats were the Aquila 38, built specifically for MarineMax’s charter division, and the roomier Aquila 48. The brand has catapulted into the limelight with significant demand for its high-performance, comfortable motor cat cruisers, which push the boundaries of design and function.
When Aquila first launched, it was manufacturing some 13 boats per year. By 2023 that number had risen to almost 200 boats built in the company’s large, eco-conscious manufacturing facility in Hangzhou City, China. This makes them one of the largest producers of power cats in the world.
Aquila Boats pride themselves on constantly pushing the boundaries of innovation and design with everything from huge windows to the large open spaces, designed to create a villa-like feel. Examples include the window partition between the aft deck and the interior galley, which converts into a bar, as well as clever use of storage space, making many models suitable for long-range travel. Ranges such as the Offshore Series show Aquila’s dedication to doing some different, with fast, capable offshore sportfishing models that offer something completely new to the market.
When it comes to handling, Aquila has focused on simplicity and effectiveness, with features including digital controls, joystick operation, engine monitoring displays, thrusters, and widely spaced main engines, which make operation easier for a couple. Performance-wise Aquila’s boats are engineered with a tunnel between the hulls to reduce drag, increase lift, and ultimately produce a smooth and comfortable ride.
