The Artekho H-35 is a Finnish built cruiser-racer known for its proven design and respected sailing performance. Built in 1980, this particular model was showcased at the 1981 London Boat Show. The interior is compact by modern 35-foot standards, featuring 5' 10" headroom. Owners appreciate her impressive performance. The boat is easy to sail, with a light helm and all lines led aft to the deep safe cockpit. Recent upgrades include upholstery, head linings, Coppercoat on the hull, and a new Genoa in 2023.
Viewing is by appointment at our Suffolk Office (IP10 0LN).
The accommodation provides five berths (plus two pipe cots) in two cabins with approximately 6ft headroom. The fore cabin features a V berth with storage underneath and an opening hatch to the foredeck. The full-width heads compartment includes a marine toilet and a hanging locker opposite. In the saloon, there are two settee berths, with the option to arrange two extra pilot berths if needed. The fixed table has drop leaves, and the chart table is located to starboard with a quarter berth behind and the galley opposite. The galley is equipped with a Plastimo Pacific two-burner gimballed butane gas cooker with grill and oven, and a 2022 gas certificate. Additional features include a stainless steel sink and recent white/red leatherette upholstery and head linings.
Located behind the companionway with access from the cockpit and under stairs, the boat is powered by a Yanmar 2GM20 twin-cylinder 18hp diesel engine, installed new circa 1994. It features electric start, seawater cooling, and a shaft drive to a Brunton two-bladed feathering propeller. The single lever control operates a 60 litre fuel capacity, providing an approximate 200 mile range at a 6 knot cruising speed, with a maximum speed under power of 7 knots. The engine was last professionally serviced in December 2021, and a new stern seal was installed in 2020.
The boat features a fractional rigged sloop with an anodised aluminium mast and boom by Selden Spars, dating from 1980. The standing rigging is stainless steel (1997), with a backstay adjuster (no runners) and Terylene running rigging. It has slab reefing mainsail with lazyjacks and a stack pack cover. The Furlex 100S headsail furler is equipped with a Selden self-tacking jib system, and all lines are led aft to the cockpit. The winches include two Harken 40ST primary sheet winches, two Barlow secondary sheet winches, and two Harken 16ST control line winches on the coach roof. The Harken mainsheet system and a spinnaker pole are also included.
Built in 1980 by Artekno Oy, Finland, to a design by Hans Groop. The boat features a white GRP hull with a cove line and red sheer stripe, along with a recent Coppercoat to the hull. The superstructure is also white GRP with moulded non-slip to the deck. It has an aft self-draining cockpit, lead fin keel, skeg-hung rudder, and tiller steering.
The boat is equipped with high-quality Harken winches and mainsheet system, a Selden self-tacking jib system, and a Furlex 100S headsail furler. All lines are led back to the cockpit for ease of handling.
