Accommodation

The well-appointed interior offers comfortable accommodation with two double berths in the lower cabin, and the option of a further double berth in the wheelhouse if required.
FORECABIN: Offset double berth with shelves, storage areas, lockers, opening portlight, and an opening hatch to the foredeck.

AFT CABIN: Large double berth located beneath the cockpit sole with excellent access due to the open-plan lower cabin arrangement. If more privacy were required it would be very easy to fit either curtains or even a folding door to provide separation from the forward berth.

HEADS: Separate compartment to starboard with a Jabsco marine toilet (with holding tank), stainless steel washbasin with combined showerhead, storage, and an opening portlight.

SALOON: Steps with louvered doors lead up to the light and comfortable wheelhouse saloon which consists of a helm position to starboard, and an L-shaped seating area to port with an adjustable folding leaf table (can drop to form a double berth when required).

GALLEY: Linear galley to starboard equipped with a 2-burner gas hob, stainless steel sink, fridge, storage, and practical moulded worktop with glass cover to the hob and sink.
The interior is finished with solid timber and real wood veneers, with cotton upholstery (new 2014), and teak and holly effect soleboards throughout. Pressurised hot and cold water is supplied via a calorifier with an immersion coil, and a 61L holding tank is equipped with a gauge to monitor levels, an electric pump out, and a deck pump-out facility. Diesel fired warm air heating system.
EXTERIOR: The Guernsey 28 offers excellent external space thanks to a large aft cockpit, and dual folding wheelhouse doors, allowing a comfortable entertainment space in the summer, or cosy protection from the elements during colder months. Wide, safe decks, deep gunnels, ample grab rails, and lots of storage make them ideal for comfortable year-round cruising. Access is excellent with a walk-through transom and cutaway access to the side decks, removable foredeck cushions are great for sunbathing, and for keen fishermen there is even a fish locker and a baitwell (although these are also ideal for other uses)!

Mechanical Systems

Located beneath the wheelhouse sole is a Cummins Mercruiser QSD 4.3 6-cylinder 320hp turbo diesel engine. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Single lever controls with electric start. Shaft drive to a 4-bladed bronze propeller with stainless steel protective skeg. Hydraulic wheel steering. Adjustable trim tabs. Bow and stern thruster.

The engine has been professionally serviced ready for the 2021 season, and the current engine hours are 313, equating to optimum low usage of approximately 25-30hrs per season. Thanks to the versatile hull design they can cruise comfortably at displacement speeds, or make swifter progress with a fast cruising speed of around 14kts, and a maximum speed of 18-20kts depending on loading and other factors.

Electrical Systems

2 x 12v heavy-duty batteries (both new March 2021) charged via engine alternator. Shorepower system with ring main, Sterling Procharge Ultra 30a battery charger, and immersion coil. Electrical distribution panel and 12v socket. Full cabin lighting.
