RELUCTANT SALE

Unique opportunity to own and operate a piece of RNLI history. "Amanda Jane" is a superb example of the Atlantic 75, a B-Class inshore lifeboat introduced in 1993 to replace the first inshore model, the Atlantic 21. Built at the RNLI facility in Cowes, Isle of Wight she served her community on the Anglesey coast between 1997 and 2014. She was involved in many a daring rescue including the rescue of a crew of a motor boat in difficulty in force 8, increasing force 9 conditions. That rescue was to earn the helmsman, the Thanks of the Institution on Vellum. The "Amanda Jane" has been a much loved boat and will be the pride and joy of the New Owner

Over the last few years, she has been owned and operated by an avid RNLI enthusiast and used as a RYA training boat at a sea school on the Thames. She has wanted for nothing in the maintenance front and has been where possible kept to her original specifications. The engines were replaced in 2006/7 with reliable and robust Yamaha 90hp, 2-strokes which undergo an annual service, She is currently ashore on her 2017 Indispension Big Dipper twin axled, fully braked road trailer.

She is in exceptional condition and has been maintained to a very high standard by the current custodian. The hull is GRP finished in "RNLI Orange" and her decks are finished in non slip. Protective keel band protects hull when beaching or retrieving onto trailer. Her open transom allows immediate evacuation of any water from waves and inclement seas. Orange Hypalon tubes with 10 chambers making her virtually unsinkable. Various storage pockets along the sponsons. Fitted sea drogue/sea anchor in bow. Black rubrail with D-fender. Reinforced nylon hand holds. Reinforced bow section with rope guide.

GRP console painted orange with PVC helm seating. Double crew seat behind. Hydraulic wheel steering system with back up emergency manual steering system. Water ballast tanks in bow which can be filled to keep bow down in heavy seas, or emptied in flat calm and optimum planing conditions. Aluminium A-Frame with self righting gear and tow bar designed to keep tow line clear of engines when towing. Navigation lights and GPS/VHF antenna. Echomax radar reflector fitted to A Frame

Two water tight fuel tanks situated in the hull. Each holds 91 litres.
