Azimut Builder Structure and Hull Shape Details

Structure and shape of hull

The structural design of the hull has been approved by RINA, providing a further guarantee of the quality offered by the use of groundbreaking materials and technologies.

Planing keel in GPR, with deadrise 15.5deg aft and 23.5deg in the middle. Longitudinal spray rails. 2 spray rails. Fiberglass structures using multiaxial fabric with a powder binder. Infusion stratification process. Neopentilic and isophtalic spray gelcoat. PVC foam is used for the sandwich panels on the hull, deck and superstructures.

The engine room bow anti-collision bulkheads are made of structural wood sandwich. DCPD resin was used for the internal layers of the

hull and for the superstructures. Vinylester resins were used for the external layers of the hull (resistance to osmosis and staining, print through). AZIMUT is therefore able to provide a 5-year warranty against osmosis
