Gemini Sunset is a blue water live aboard catamaran. She is a performance cruising catamaran built for speed but also comfort. She is lightweight, has a long waterline, a low boom so a lower centre of gravity, widely spaced hulls and very good bridge clearance. The hulls are pointed and slim so the boat is very streamlined. This makes her sail very well, sail fast and point to windward up to 40 degrees without any loss of speed.

The daggerboards reduce leeway considerably so help to keep the boat pointing when going upwind. The helm seat is high enough to see all four corners of the boat, ideal for berthing, but low enough to not interfere with the performance of the mainsail. The enclosure offers superb protection in bad weather yet still gives excellent all around visibility. The boat is also very comfortable with two good sized double cabins, a large owner’s bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe. There is ample cupboard and locker space. The saloon is very comfortable and the galley is large and well-equipped. The large patio doors permit access to and from the cockpit very easily. For a couple the boat is perfect. The owners use the third single cabin as a workshop and a storage area, still leaving plenty of room to have another couple on board as guests.

SAILING HISTORYGemini Sunset was first sailed from Florida to Grenada in March 2017. She stayed in Grenada for a year and when we bought her she had done approximately 3000 miles. We sailed her north to Martinique, the BVIs, the Bahamas, the East Coast of America, back to the Bahamas, Panama and then across the Pacific. We are now in Bora Bora and plan to sail to New Zealand where we will sell the boat. We have done another 13,000 miles so far so the boat has done 16,000 in total
OWNER COMMENTSGemini Sunset was built in China in 2016, completed in December 2016 and shipped to Florida. She was launched after the Miami Boat Show in February 2017. She has been well maintained by her owners since since they purchased her in April 2018. There have been no major changes to the yacht and no re-fits. The only upgrades made were to have a third reef put in the mainsail in August 2018, to have an enclosure made for the cockpit in September 2018 and to install a generator in October 2018.
