Such was the success of this Jean Marie Finot design that 1115 were built during this time and Beneteau became the biggest producer of leisure craft in the world. Jean Marie Finot is still producing award winning designs and still in partnership with Beneteau. His brief was to design a safe, stable family cruiser/racer within the 25 foot range. The result is a roomy yacht with 4/5 good berths, separate heads and functional galley. Sailing is a dream, thanks to her deck stepped spars and easily handled sail plan. Her lifting keel is operated from the saloon and when raised gives a draft of 0.90 meters allowing the shallower areas of our coastline to be explored. Inboard Beta diesel engine offers reliability and economy. Accommodation : Below decks is very comfortable and you would be forgiven for thinking you were in a larger craft. The headroom at 5'8" isn't too bad considering and the galley where standing will occur is adjacent to companionway therefore maximising the headroom. The afore mentioned galley is to port and features a gas fuelled 2-burner hob with grill. There is a small sink with hand pumped fresh water and a top loading ice box for perishables. Behind the cooker is a shelved unit with sliding perspex doors offering good storage. The main saloon features a central table. This incorporates the housing for the lifting keel and the mechanism is towards the aft end. Both leaves fold up allowing 4-6 people to dine in comfort. The settee's double up as berths with the port berth remaining a single and the starboard converting to an intimate double. Forward of the saloon bulkhead is a heads compartment to starboard with hanging space behind and a sink and vanity unit to port. There is a privacy door to the saloon and a privacy door to the forward cabin with will isolate the heads compartment. The forward cabin has a removable infill allowing dressing space and a large deck hatch for light and ventilation. There is a chart table at the aft end of the starboard settee with chart storage, 12V switch panel and chart reading light and chart plotter. The interior wood is in good order and the fabrics are an attractive red and white check in very good condition. 12V reading lights throughout.
