DESCRIPTION

The Beneteau 423 is a classic. It’s the last generation of Beneteau to sport the Cherry finish on the interior woodwork. The interior exudes warmth, thanks to the richly colored wood. A abundance of light is provided by the fixed overhead and eyebrow windows, several opening hatches & portlights. This vessel is very cruiser-friendly. It has a spacious interior, functional galley, aft head to port of the companionway, two comfortable double cabins, both of which are en-suite and good ‘flow’ in the salon area.

The cockpit is comfortable, has extensive storage and allows easy access to the side decks and to the walk-through transom/wide swim platform. Molly Rose has a hardtop dodger, which is an unusual, but desirable, feature. The in mast furling is another desirable feature, allowing the crew to adjust both Mainsail and Genoa for maximum performance in all weather conditions. The hull shape is highly renowned for its performance capabilities and provides a comfortable ride in most sailing conditions. The primary winches are easy to reach from the helm and the fin keel, with modified bulb and long rudder, along with the bowthruster and folding prop, make the B 423 easy to maneuver in tight spaces - in forward gear or reverse!

 Molly Rose has the following:

  • Hull waxed and polished (2/24)
  • Bottom sanded and painted (3/24)
  • Raymarine EV1 Autopilot (8/21)
  • Bowthruster controls (8/23)
  • 2008 West Marine 8’6 Roll up Dinghy
  • Airconditioning
  • Electric Windlass
  • Hard Dodger w/ polycarbonate windows
  • VOLVO 55HP engine w/ 350 hours
  • VOLVO Folding Propellor
  • Shaft Shark
  • Dripless Seal
  • Inmast furling mainsail
  • Asymmetrical Spinnaker (lightly used)

  • Raymarine Radar

It's not too late to take a trip south in your new boat.

ACCOMMODATIONS:

The interior wood is a classic Cherry finish. The interior is light and well ventilated thanks to hatches and large opening ports as well as skylights/windows in the salon. The cabin sole is teak & holly veneer (this was superseded by Formica veneer in later models). The Galley is to starboard as you descend the companionway, it tucks around the corner making an L. It has generous work surface and storage. To port is the guest head and the aft cabin. The aft cabin has a queen berth with good storage. The head can be accessed from salon or aft cabin. Forward of the head is the nav station, with contoured seat and a large, opening chart table. The 2-person port-side settee abuts the chart table. The dinette is on the starboard side of the salon, with a curved settee that can seat 5 comfortably and a bench seat amidships, with storage beneath. The table can be lowered to form a third double berth for extra guests. The bench doubles as a very convenient footrest for the port settee.  The master cabin is in the bow, with a double, centerline berth with spring mattress. There is storage to port and starboard as well as beneath the bunk and under a small bench seat to port. The head, with toilet, vanity and separate shower, is to starboard. Overhead hatches and portlights in the hull create a lot of light and provide excellent ventilation.
