Historical Background

Black Watch was initially built in the United States by the famous Ted Hood Company. The late Ted Hood produced many Black Watch boats that can be found working and playing in the rough waters off the East Coast, Florida, and the Bahamas. The US molds were purchased by an Australian company in the 80s, continuing the proud tradition started by Raymond Hunt. Black Watch has established a reputation in Australia's rough waters for speed, comfort, and dryness.

During the mid-1990s, the popular Black Watch 34 was released, becoming Australia's first gaming boat, ideal for both professional and recreational skippers. Black Watch Boats is synonymous with quality, performance, and superb management of their range of brands. The first Black Watch was conceived by Raymond C Hunt, a pioneer and innovator in naval architecture.
