El Capitan is a 65' sportfishing boat located in Point Loma, San Diego, CA. It has a COI for fishing from Baja California to Oregon and Washington. Currently, El Capitan operates as a 3/4 day to a 2.5-day open party and charter boat. The current owner has been fishing professionally since 1966 and is ready to retire, passing on the book of business to a new owner.

The El Capitan is a 65 ft solid fiberglass passenger sportfishing vessel designed by Ed. Monk Jr. The main cabin is amidship with rear door entry. Inside, there are two heads on the port and starboard sides. There are three booths on the port side and one on the starboard side. Forward of the booth on the starboard side is the galley and food prep area. A stairwell leads down to the bunk room on the starboard side, while the port side features five crew bunks and three steps leading up to the enclosed wheelhouse. A step up on the starboard side leads to the wheelhouse through a sliding door. A crow's nest is located atop the wheelhouse, and behind it is an upper deck accessible from the main deck by ladder. A live bait tank is situated on the stern deck.

There are five crew bunks forward of the galley in the main cabin. Below deck, there are 18 passenger bunks. The bunk room is equipped with two refrigerators and two freezers. Forced air is provided by 110 volt fans, making it fully capable of overnight trips.

The galley features a two burner flattop, a two burner cooktop, and a convection oven. Above is an Allure stainless steel hood and exhaust fan, along with an additional Honeywell plug-in fan. It includes a Panasonic microwave, a large true can cooler, and a Magic Chef refrigerator. There is a double stainless steel rectangular sink, a toaster, and a coffee maker.

Equipped with twin diesel engines, Cummins QSMIL Tier 2, installed brand new in 2007.

Fuel capacity: 1,300 gallons.

Fresh Water Capacity: Two 120 gallon stainless steel tanks, totaling 240 gallons.

Holding Tanks: Two tanks, 50 gallons total.

Large fish holds are located on the stern below deck, equipped with Spray Brine.

A 5hp compressor is available for refrigeration, and a 3hp circulation brine pump is mounted in the tank room. There are two well live bait tanks that go below deck, accommodating about 120 scoops. The wash down system is powered by a 3hp 220 volt pump.

Includes a Bruce anchor with 150ft of chain and 900ft of line.

12 volt system with four 8D308D batteries in the engine room for engine start, one series battery for generator start, and one battery behind the wheelhouse for electronics and DC lights. The generator, a Norpro Diesel Generator 33KW, is located in the engine room on the forward starboard side.
