DESCRIPTION

The Botnia Targa range are often described as the 4X4 of the sea, offering exceptional sea keeping and are designed with practicality and safety in mind.
The 31 Mkll model features five berths in two separate cabins with a separate heads/ shower compartment. Externally there are side access doors each side of the pilot house, wide side decks, large cockpits forward and aft, and a commanding flybridge helm position.
This example was first commissioned in 2004 and is fitted with the larger engine option, twin Volvo Penta 06 310hp diesels with duo-prop outdrives giving excellent performance.

Berths in two separate sleeping cabins with separate heads compartment.
Pilothouse seating trimmed in cream leather with blue piping.
Ample hand holds throughout the pilothouse.
Diesel cabin heating with outlets throughout the accommodation space.
Screen demisters.
Pilot House:
Roomy pilot house with all round visibility and sliding doors to each side offering direct access the side decks.
The main helm position is on the forward starboard side door. Helm and pilot seats are on swivel mountings. A fully adjustable wheel plinth and substantial foot bracing bars are good features. A comprehensive instrument package is mounted ahead of the wheel, with engine switch panels above the forward-facing windows.
Ample counter top space suitable for chart work adjacent to the helm and a chart stowage drawer in the forward cabin's access hatch's lifting section.
A concealed, two burner gas hob and stainless steel sink unit is fitted under forward the port counter-top, adjacent to the port side door, with multiple drawers and cupboards under. A 12V, front opening fridge located under the helm's seat and aft of this, on the starboard

We were tempted to give this award to the new 42 but there's something about the 31 that we find even more appealing. For starters it has the pace and agility to embarrass many a so-called sport-cruiser. Then there's the build quality, which shares more in common with a Swiss bank vault than a boat. Even the rugged styling and functional layout has an enduring appeal that keeps used ones in demand. But above all it's a fantastically usable boat that every one of us would Jove to own.
Motorboat Monthly, February 2007:
"The entire Targa range is worthy of praise. Boldly and with utter certainty, Targa has followed its own path, reminding us of the virtues of fine sea keeping, boating practicality and substantial build. But of all the boats in its range the 31 stands out for its unique combination of cruising comforts, excellent deck area and the sort of thrilling performance that would many a so-called sport-cruiser run and hide.
This is the boat we would all own if our heads had the whole say. In fact, there are plenty of hearts out there that would agree.
