Designed by Alan Buchanan and built to Lloyds 100A1 by Harry King & Sons, Burnham in 1960.

She remained in Lloyds Class until 1983.

Bought by the current owner in 2010, she has been sailed extensively with trips around the UK and northern Europe. In 2020 she had a refit with new mast, sails and rigging and replacement Yanmar engine along with new shaft and propeller.

Her design is typical Buchanan and offers excellent headroom and interior space.

A well proven and capable yacht with a rich and well documented history. Recently refitted and ready for the season.

Offered at a very attractive price as the owners are moving abroad and need to find a new home for the boat.

Construction

• Carvel planked in teak copper fastened to Canadian Rock Elm timbers.
• Galvanised steel strap floors with a pair of galvanised ring frames in way of the mast.
• External lead ballast keel of 3.25 tons fastened with bronze bolts.
• Solid teak deck, caulked and payed with butyl rubber. Deck fastenings sunk deeper and re-plugged 2024.
• Varnished teak coachroof coamings with bronze portlights. Sheathed plywood coachroof deck.
• Self draining cockpit with teak thwarts and coamings.
• Transom hung rudder and tiller steering.

Rig

• Bermudan sloop rig on a new Noble Spars keel stepped mast installed in 2020.
• Slab reefing wooden boom.
• Stainless steel standing rigging pre-dates the new mast.
• Inner forestay carries a storm jib on a single line furling system. Single line furling system for the genoa.
• Running rigging new in 2020.
• Mainsail and genoa new in 2020 from Sanders Sails. Spinnaker, jib, 2 spare mainsails and 2 spare genoas.
• 4 x non-self tailing cockpit sheet winches
• 2 x mast winches.

Machinery

• Yanmar 3JH4E 35hp engine installed as a second hand unit in 2020. Approximately 500 hrs.
• New stern gear, shaft and propeller new in 2020. 3 blade bronze propeller.
• 100 litre stainless steel fuel tank.
• 200 litre galvanised water tank.
• 2 x 12 volt batteries charged from the engine alternator. Shore power system with battery charger. Solar panel.

Accommodation

• 5 berths in total with 6’4” headroom.
• Steps down into the cabin with storage space to starboard and chart desk forward of this.
• Galley to port with Plastimo 2 burner gas hob and grill. Stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressurised water.
• Saloon with a saloon settee berth either side and a dropleaf saloon table. Port side pilot berth under the side deck.
• Starboard side passage going forward with heads compartment to port.
• Baby Blake sea toilet discharges directly overboard.
• Forepeak cabin with 2 single V-berths and forehatch above.
