The Californian 42 is a classic yacht known for its robust design and spacious layout. With its length, it offers ample room for comfortable cruising and entertaining. Built by Marshal in Costa Mesa California and represents an excellent example of sea kindly performance, strong construction, and traditional trawler lines. There were about 200 yachts of this model built over the years of production. The two station Helms offer optional control for both inclement or fair-weather conditions. The yacht offers a two private cabin layout, two heads with stall showers, large salon area, with 2 side access doors to the salon. A Flying Bridge with large aft deck and lower cockpit, railings fully around the yacht, it is an easily handled vessel. An Achilles center consul tender with 30 HP Tohatsu on power davits across stern, twin 350 HP 3208 Caterpillar Diesel engines, a Brand-new Kohler 6KW gen set, and much more. This yacht is a worth looking at for the buyer who wants long term value in a well maintained and loved yacht that is ready to go.
The forward stateroom has stacked single berths to starboard just opposite the ensuite head with stall shower. Up to the main salon with the galley running along the port side. There is a large L-shaped settee/dinette aft on starboard which can seat six comfortably with a high/ low table. There is a lower helm station forward on starboard. There are port and starboard deck doors in the salon as well as direct access to the cockpit from the aft stateroom. Aft stateroom has double beds to port and starboard with excellent storage in lockers and drawers. The aft master stateroom also has a complete head with an enclosed tub/shower. There is 6'4" headroom throughout.
Galley
The galley runs along the port side of the salon and features a double stainless-steel sink with hot and cold pressure water, a small top loading fridge, microwave, and a three-burner electric stove with oven. Opposite on starboard is a below the counter 110V fridge freezer. There is good counter space and ample storage in drawers and cabinets.
