Calypso, a 1977 Camper & Nicholson 39 (build number 028), is now available for sale. With only 63 of these iconic yachts ever built, she stands as a testament to quality craftsmanship and design. In excellent condition and boasting impressive performance, she has been a strong, safe, and fast cruising boat for her current owners. Unfortunately, due to new work commitments, she is now ready for her next adventure.
The Nicholson 39 is a great yacht due to its solid construction, excellent seaworthiness, and timeless design. Built in the 70s and 80s, it offers a strong fiberglass hull and a well-balanced keel, making it ideal for both long-distance cruising and offshore sailing. There is a spacious double ‘V’ berth in the fore cabin with an infill and stowage compartments under. An overhead hatch opens onto the foredeck providing good ventilation. There are lee cloths in the bows to help stow gear.
The saloon has a large U-shaped dinette to port which is convertible to a double berth when the table is lowered and an additional infill. The table folds in half to allow much easier access and informal seating when the full-size dining table is not required. There are lockers all around the saloon, and also under seat stowage.
There is a linear galley to the starboard side and aft of the saloon.
Hob: Gimballed, twin induction hob with 220V grill and oven - 2024

Opposite the galley on the port side is a navigation station incorporating the electrical switch panel and display. The aft heads have been converted to a laundry/stowage. The aft heads now house a slimline domestic washing machine which is capable of operating off the large powerful inverter.
A full size double aft berth is located in the aft master cabin, with a double memory foam mattress to be enjoyed whilst staying onboard overnight. Large storage lockers and ample stowage under the framework bed.
