A rare example of the centre cockpit Nicholson 39 Ketch. She has 6/7 berths in three cabins with good headroom. Engine factory rebuilt in 2015 and has logged less than 50 hours since. Eastreef mainsail plus five other sails. Electric primary winches. Bowthruster. Her interior is very comfortable and homely and has excellent varnish work and upholstery. Well worth a look!

Accommodation

The accommodation offer six/seven berths in three cabins including the saloon with approximately 6' headroom.

V berth in forward cabin. Access to deck hatch, shelving and locker. Aft to port side heads compartment with marine toilet (with holding tank), basin and shower. Hanging locker to starboard.

The saloon has a single berth to starboard and L shaped dinette to port with folding double leaf table between. Aft facing chart table on port side. Companionway steps to cockpit.

The galley is to starboard aft end of the saloon in the walkway to the aft cabin. Equipped with sink, four burner gas cooker with grill and oven and cool box. Hot and cold pressurised fresh water system heated via engine or 240V immersion heater.450 litres water capacity.

The aft cabin has a double berth to starboard plus a single berth to port, dressing table and large hanging locker. The aft heads compartment has a marine toilet, basin and shower.

Radio/CD player. TV. Beige, Blue and Burgundy upholstery.

Mechanical Systems

Located centrally under cockpit sole. Ford FSD 425 marine diesel engine. Completely factory rebuilt in 2015 and logged only some 50 hours since. Four cylinders. 70hp. Fresh water cooled. Shaft drive to Maxprop 3 blade folding propeller with rope cutter. Single lever engine controls. 274 litre fuel capacity. Approx 6 knows cruising and 8 knows maximum speed under engine.

Construction

Built by Nicholson in 1979. Blue painted grp hull, Awlgrip in 2012. White grp coachroof with teak and moulded non skid decks. Long fin keel with encapsulated lead ballast. Self draining cockpit with wheel steering to skeg hung rudder.

Last surveyed in 1994. She has bene in her current ownership for 26 years, age is catching up with her owners who are now retiring from sailing.
