Refurbishment Details

The Reidroas was built in the 1980s by Mr. van der Eem in Easterein in Friesland. In 2021, the following work was carried out:

• All paint parts stripped bare and provided with 6 layers: 2 layers of 2 component yacht varnish, 3 layers of 1 component yacht varnish, and 1 layer of topcoat.
• The underwater ship was impregnated with injection resin, then provided with 2 layers of glass mats and 3 layers of epoxy, followed by antifouling.
• The diesel engine and tank were removed and replaced by a 4 kW Water World electric drive equipped with a 240 kWh battery pack at 48 volts.
• The total cost of conversion and refurbishment is available for inspection.
