The story of this boat, built in an English shipyard, is like an adventure novel because it was born in 1917 as a support boat for an America's Cup in England and then ended up in Italy in the hands of a Sardinian coral diver thanks to his English partner who had inherited it from an uncle. It was registered in Italy and refurbished by the Carolini Mario shipyard in Trieste in 1946 and then transferred to Sardinia where the coral worker installed a small hyperbaric chamber for decompression after coral fishing. The instrumentation is basic but complete: a sonar, a VHF radio, a stainless steel compass, an electric headlight in the bow and of course a comfortable windlass.
