Sportsman Yachts was started in the 70's by legendary Omie Tillet. It was later sold due to an allergic reaction to epoxy and continued on based around the same principles that Omie started when the first Sportsman was built.

She features 3 staterooms and 2 heads with an enormous salon. A very efficient and dry-riding hull gives you a cruise speed of 29MPH at 1750 RPMs burning just 42 gallons an hour. She is powered by twin MAN 1100HP engines and all services are up to date including all updated valves. In the last few years, she has benefitted from a few major upgrades including new fuel tanks, new mezzanine, new electronics, Omni Sonar, and all new countertops throughout. She just came out of the yard for her annual maintenance and has a fresh bottom paint, new trim tabs and props were just scanned and balanced as well.

Refit 2021

Boat was hauled at Banks Boatworks in Wanchese and entire new bow section was removed and replaced. At the same time the aft deck was removed and installation of a new mezzanine and new fuel tanks were installed. Also, an Omni sonar was installed and a custom pantry storage area was built to house the new unit and electronics.

All new electronics were installed.

Engine Services

2023 engines were borescoped and inspected all new injectors installed, all the valves were upgraded to new-style valves. A full 1000-hour service performed by CNB marine diesel.
