This vessel was SOLD on September 14. This classic, all-aluminum, 1974 Chris Craft 55 Roamer Flush Deck Motoryacht is the gem you have been looking for. She spent most of her life on the great lakes and was only brought to the Gulf of Mexico in 2015. The previous owner substantially upgraded the Master Cabin and guest quarters and reconfigured the head to create a master bath with a separate, full standup shower. All of the toilets and appliances were new in 2017. The current owner found the boat very usable and liveable, but some areas will likely need some cosmetic work before she can be called complete. Underway, the seller is a slow speed boater, typically cruising at 7.5Kn with engines running at ~1,000 RPM. If you put her to the test, this boat can actually plane, but the seller only tried that once. He doesn't like to run her too fast. As with any boat of this size and age, there are things remaining to be done...repairing the headliner in the aft deck and cleaning up the brightwork are on the sellers short list... along with replacing the broken windshield on the upper helm and replacing a couple of seals where the small, slow water leak from the port engine, and a valve that drips on one the fuel tanks. Since the boat has been on the Gulf of Mexico, it has sat on land in storage under a roof for 10-11 months each year until the current owner moved her to her current location, where she sits in a well protected marina slip. The seller reports that every time they launch her the engines fire off seamlessly without any smoke. She comes with a spare shaft and a pair of spare propellers. The only damage to the boat from Ian is the cracked windshield in the upper helm, and the headliner that is down on the back deck area of the boat. Take advantage of the Sellers change in plans and make this rare, well-maintained Motoryacht the boat of your dreams! Update March 2023, the price reflects the seller's desire to move the boat asap, as they have no time to use it. Of course, a survey and water trial is always allowed, at the buyer's discretion and cost. We are looking for people all over the country who share our love for boats.
