The condition or level of safety equipment on board is not to be negotiated on following survey. It is likely to be listed by most surveyors but is not structural or an integral working part of the vessel and is not to be used to further negotiate the price down after survey. We strongly suggest that for your own personal safety that when purchasing a yacht you provide new safety equipment rather than relying on second hand gear.
Should you become the new owner of this yacht then the responsibility to re-register or update official bodies for items such as EPIRB, VHF, MMSI or AIS becomes yours.

Colvic Victor 40 ketch, designed by John Bennet as a trans-ocean cruising yacht. She was built and fitted out professionally in 1980 and has been in our ownership since 1995. During the past 26 years she has been continuously updated and refitted. After a lifetime of sailing we are now considering whether it is time to for us to move on.
For many years we sailed out of Caernarfon in North Wales from where we cruised the Irish Sea from the west coast of Scotland to Devon and Cornwall. Our summer trips usually took us south to Brittany and beyond as far as La Rochelle. On retirement we decided that the sun beckoned and in 2004 headed south to the Med where we have been sailing ever since, most recently in Greece where she is based in Lefkas Marine.
She has a raised deck saloon configuration giving all round views from the main cabin.
Listed below are the documents/or copies of what we have seen on listing this yacht.
