This vessel was SOLD on May 21. 1996 Contender 31 with Twin Yamaha 250s. This boat was made for fishing and is equipped with a cuddy cabin. This is a very user-friendly boat. The owner is looking to upgrade to a bigger boat and one that is more comfortable for his kids although he stated that his kids really like the cuddy area. This boat's story Per the Owner: The boat was stolen from the previous owner's yard in Florida. They found the hull a few days later and the owner bought it back from the insurance co. He took it back to CONTENDER and everything under the top cap was replaced. New tar coated aluminum tanks, new wiring harnesses, and he had to buy more motors to put on the boat. The seller has about 60 pictures from the previous owner from when the work was done. Seller also had a marine inspector do an inspection on the boat before he bought it, which included running a scope in the hull, and engine and lower unit oil analysis. I had the water jackets in the mid-section scoped last year and no anomalies were found. Engine hours are port-1182 and starboard-1180. Bought the boat with +-850 hrs. on them and have changed the lower unit oil twice since I have had it and engine oil every 100 hrs. as per manufacturer. The alarm is set in the electronic gauges. Previous owner did have the bottom painted with an anti-foulant pair at some point. I always planned on stripping it off and getting back to slick gel coat and never got around to it. The boat would be faster without it. Boat has never been kept in water as far as I know. I know the previous owner as well as myself have always kept trailered, other than if was going to be fishing for a few days in a row. Previous owner used boat to run back and forth from Miami to the Bahama's. It would stay in the water when he was in the Bahama's. A large amount of work has been done to the boat trailer over the last few months to get it top notch again. It was getting in pretty bad shape before repairs made. Would have no problem pulling it back to Florida right now as it sits. Seller would be willing to deliver the boat within a couple of hours from Houma, LA if needed. The refit after the boat was stolen was done in Homestead, Florida at the Contender yard. This was not a shade tree refit in putting the boat back together.
