"Owner's Remarks" - We have found "Samphire" to be a delightful coastal cruiser, easy to sail, well-balanced and comfortable in a Solent chop owing to her hull form and heavy displacement. The twin cylinder Yanmar provides more than adequate power to push the boat along up to 6 knots. The centre plate allows shallow water capability when raised and excellent sailing efficiency on the wind and when manoeuvring in marinas when down. A change in our plans is the reason "Samphire" is reluctantly for sale.

2020 survey report - "Samphire" is a fine example of one of Cornish Crabbers" popular models, the sails have minimal indication of mileage and the engine has only run very low hours" etc. This survey can be made available to a prospective purchaser.
Designed by Roger Dongray, the Cornish Crabber 22 is one of a range of popular modern gaffers that have been in production in various forms and sizes continually since 1973. The Crabber 22 is one of the newer models, brought in as the later 24s became heavier and less trailable.
