Cornish Shrimper 19 Overview

The Cornish Shrimper 19 is a superb family day boat featuring a lifting keel and rudder. It is easily sailed with a gaff rigged mainsail and furling jib. The mast can be lowered easily, allowing the boat to be trailed behind a family car. This example includes a fully galvanised road trailer.

Simple open plan interior with two quarter berths and stowage underneath. Red leatherette upholstery.

Located in cockpit well, Tohatsu 6hp four stroke outboard engine. Hand start. Forward and reverse gears. 12 litre plastic fuel tank. Three bladed alloy propeller.

Gaff rigged sloop. Varnished mast (new 2024), boom, gaff and bowsprit (2021). Tabernacle. Stainless steel standing rigging. Terylene running rigging. Slab reefing mainsail. Headsail furling system. Lines led aft to cockpit.

Built in 1985 by Cornish Crabbers to a design by Roger Dongray. Hull no. 163. Light blue GRP hull with teak rubbing strakes. White GRP superstructure with moulded non-slip. Long keel with bilge runners and lifting centreplate. Rudder with drop plate. Tiller steering. Aft cockpit.
