Major refit in 2008 by the present owners when a new deck and whole new coachroof were fitted. She had a very thorough survey carried out in August 2018 and has been put ashore for the winter of 2018/2019 to have all the recommendations from the survey dealt with as well as attention to the paint and varnish. She is now looking very smart and tidy and is a well found yacht after extensive attention from professional shipwrights. Full details of the work carried out available on request. This is a nice and very solid example of one of Hillyards slightly larger boats, the 12 tonner offers a little more space than the 9 tonner and is that bit more comfortable for long distance cruising. 2018 survey available. Grown oak wooden floors across the centreline. External iron ballast keel with galvanise keel bolts new in 2008. Drawn and checked 2018. Internal lead trimming ballast. Marine plywood deck laid new in 2008. Sheathed externally and finished with deck paint. Varnished Brazilian mahogany coachroof coamings new in 2008. Sheathed plywood coachroof deck. Rig Bermudan cutter rig on a deck stepped varnished wooden mast with varnished wooden slab reefing boom. Galvanised standing rigging new in 2008 to galvanised rigging screws and galvanised external chain plates. Pair of cockpit sheet winches and pair of mast winches. Mainsail 2014, 2 genoas and a storm jib all in good condition. Machinery Yanmar 4JH2e 51 hp marine diesel installed new in 1995. Centreline installation to a fixed 3 blade bronze propeller. 2 x 12 volt batteries with installed shore power system and battery charging. Stainless steel fuel tank and original galvanised water tank. Accommodation 6 berths with usual Hillyard layout comprising a double aft cabin, 2 saloon settee berths and twin berths in the forepeak. Good headroom throughout with full length berths except for one short one in the forepeak. Centre cockpit with doorway into the aft cabin with a very large double berth, nice mahogany joinery and ample storage to starboard and heads compartment on the port side. Heads has a manual sea toilet which discharges directly over board and a hand basin with manually pumped fresh water. Steps down from the cockpit into the main saloon with the galley to starboard. Gimballed gas stove and a single stainless steel sink with ample storage. Large 12 volt fridge to port. Chart desk and navigation area to port above the fridge. Main saloon with full length settee berths either side and centreline dropleaf saloon table. Centreline door to the forepeak with a single berth either side, anchor locker and storage.
