This major refit was commissioned by the late owner and work was completed in December 2013, with minor finishing jobs done at Robertsons Boatyard, Suffolk in 2016. A full condition survey was carried out in July 2016, a copy of this is available. The boat has been used very little since and stored in a dry dark garage for most of the intervening years. The RNSA dinghy was designed for the Royal Navy to teach sailing to the cadets with some carried on larger war ships. The design was a huge success and many examples were built for the domestic market by various yards around the country as they were such stable, safe and easy to sail dinghies. This dinghy is an ex navy example and has a War Department Registered No. SDY/852002 There is unlikely to be a better example on the market than this little boat. All invoices from the work carried out are available along with the 2016 survey report.
