Boat HistoryMargaritaville 1.5 began her life as a 50' pro race boat called Corum (Swiss Watchmaker). In 1997, her current owner purchased this very advanced race boat, cutting edge in both design and materials. No expense was spared, using the best materials available, Carbon Fiber and Titanium.
UpgradesIn 2003, she underwent a massive makeover. Under the supervision of Marine Architect Alan Andrews, the original hull was removed and replaced with a newly fabricated Carbon Fiber TP52 Hull, resulting in a massive improvement in stiffness and a considerable weight savings from the original boat. An updated carbon fiber mast and a new keel with a ballast of 10,013 lbs created a monster! Long gone were the days of 9 kts to 10 kts downwind, and hello to some serious speed. She achieved her fastest speed during a race in San Diego, hitting 27 kts.
MaintenanceMargaritaville 1.5 has been professionally maintained and always lovingly taken care of. She is ready for her new owner and crew and some more racing!
