A delightful TANDEM 12m cruising sloop built in 1990 by Farrow & Chambers of Grimsby is for sale with Vivid Blue Marine (North-West).

This sparkling cruiser yacht was built by Farrow and Chambers of Grimsby of cedar and mahogany using wood epoxy saturation technique (West System).


A delightful TANDEM 12m cruising sloop built in 1990 by Farrow & Chambers of Grimsby is for sale with Vivid Blue Marine (North-West).

This sparkling cruiser yacht was built by Farrow and Chambers of Grimsby of cedar and mahogany using wood epoxy saturation technique (West System).

Sparkle II has teak decks, tiller steering to semi-balanced rudder and a Warwick Collins tandem wing keel, conceived to create high performance at low draft.

Sparkle III is a bespoke 12m designed for the original owner as a fast seaworthy cruiser which two people can sail easily without leaving the cockpit.

Sparkle III is equipped with a Volvo Penta D2-40 (40HP) diesel engine from 2005 with running time of circa 1400hrs.

Her accommodation offers six berths in two cabins and main saloon. There is a large fore-cabin with double berth, cushions and bedding, two hanging lockers and stowage under berth. There is an overhead hatch for access, light and ventilation and side stowage shelves.

Main Saloon

The main saloon is open plan with galley and large full size chart table.

A forward area has twin settee berths with lee cloths and central table with folding leaves. There are open shelved cave lockers port and starboard and overhead hatch and fixed portlights in coach roof. Lights from battery and separate mains power lights. Fuel and water tanks under berths

Galley

Spacious galley to port with easy access from main hatch. Twin sinks with hot and cold water, sea water, and filtered drinking water. Spin-Flo Nelson 1500 stainless steel cooker with 2 burners, oven, and grill. Large well insulated ice box with Isotherm unit. Tiled surfaces, grab rail and ample stowage for pots, pans etc. Island seating centrally houses the Volvo Penta diesel engine.

Aft Cabin

King size double, cushions and bedding. Hanging locker and cupboard. Opening port lights, 3 lockers under.

Heads

Heads aft to starboard with Lavac marine toilet (2011), sink with hot and cold water and Shower. Hot water tank (7 Galls).) Immersion heater and heating from engine. Hanging locker for wet oilskins. Stowage, light, mirror.
