For sale is a timelessly beautiful DOLVIK 32 from the year 1994. The DOLVIK 32 is a 9.60 m long, laminated mahogany runabout featuring a Mercruiser twin-engine system, each with 220 HP and Z-drive. This allows the boat to maneuver effortlessly even in tight spaces and reach a top speed of approximately 40 knots.
The cockpit provides ample space for 6-8 people, and the U-shaped seating area can be easily converted into a sleeping area. A refrigerator and a sink in the cockpit ensure comfort. Below deck, there is a marine toilet, a shower, a V-berth, and sufficient storage space.
HEILOONG has been regularly maintained and is in excellent condition. The cockpit cushions have recently been replaced (beige). After an engine failure, the starboard engine was replaced. The underwater hull has been rebuilt.
The quality reflects the highest standards of Norwegian boatbuilding.
Excerpt from the shipyard brochure: In an age where many things are fleeting, uncompromisingness is a philosophy that sounds refreshingly old-fashioned. However, it ensures the creation of classics and the preservation of quality. The story of the Dolvik 32 began with the vision of building a boat that embodies all classic elements while being equipped with the latest technology, combining the understated elegance of a wooden boat with innovative development.
"To create something new, one must know the old." This sentence played a crucial role in our development process. We have looked around the world, compared, discovered, discarded, and developed. The result is boats that unite tradition with craftsmanship and modern technology.
The craftsmanship and material of a Dolvik share one common trait: uncompromising style and technology. Dolvik wooden boats radiate not only solidity but also an inherent quality. Wood as a material has technical advantages that are ideal for robust and enduring boats. Dolvik is characterized not only by the highest craftsmanship but also by the advancement of classic construction methods.
A significant step in wooden boat construction was the use of epoxy resins. Originally, only the keel was coated with these resins to make it more durable and less sensitive to environmental and water influences. Dolvik takes it a step further. Using the "Cold-Moulding" method, the hull frame is first covered with several layers of durable marine plywood. These panels are exclusively glued with epoxy after being laid in epoxy. Fiberglass or Kevlar mats are then applied for reinforcement, again soaked in epoxy resin. The result is a hull of unparalleled stability and low weight. To fill the wood pores, at least four layers of epoxy resin are applied, followed by another six to eight layers of polyurethane, which serves as UV protection and showcases the natural beauty of the wood.
The result is a wooden boat that is saltwater resistant and aging resistant. The maintenance effort is no greater than that of any other fiberglass boat.
Dolvik boats are equipped with a Z-drive. This allows for a tidy and spacious cockpit since the engine is located far in the stern compared to conventional shaft drives. Additionally, it achieves an extremely shallow draft, as the Z-drive can be raised electrically if necessary.
"Style is the attention to the finest detail." Oscar Wilde said that. We adhere to this principle. Our boats show that they are lovingly crafted by top-notch artisans. Before we decide on a detail, we have examined alternatives worldwide. Because here, second-class is third-class.
All fittings of a Dolvik are made from high-quality materials. Bronze, brass, chrome, or stainless steel, teak or mahogany. Always with the thought of combining high performance and durability with maximum functionality and elegance. Where spotlights disturb the hull lines in other boats, you will find at Dolvik: a spotlight operated from the cockpit on deck. Our instruments do not look like they belong in a spacecraft but match the style of the boat. And no matter where you touch the boat and glide your hand over the finish - no seam, no edge disturbs, nowhere is there a rough surface.
