This is a 1983 Dufour 12000 CT 45' Ketch rigged sailboat. She is a great family cruiser and many Dufour's have been used to circumnavigate. This Yacht was built in La Rochelle, France and sailed the Atlantic before crossing into the Pacific and spending years in Japan, Hawaii and Alaska before coming to the S E Atlantic. There were only a few of these yachts made and most of them can still be found sailing around the globe.

This Yacht was built in La Rochelle, France and sailed the Atlantic before crossing into the Pacific and spending years in Japan, Hawaii and Alaska before coming to the S E Atlantic. There were only a few of these yachts made and most of them can still be found sailing around the globe. The owner has lived aboard with a family of five but now as the children have grown up the plans of cruising have been changed. The engine a 1983 Perkins 4.236 and was rebuilt by the previous owner in the early 2000's. There have been about 200 hours on it since 2017. The entire exhaust system was just recently replaced the engine was completely serviced 9/20/19. The yacht has been religiously maintained over the last few years.The yacht was hauled 3/2019 and the bottom was sandblasted and re-coated with 4 layers of epoxy and new bottom paint. The hull sides were repainted at this time. New zincs, new cutlass bearing, new speedometer depth finder through hull was installed. The teak decking was removed and replaced with KIWI non skid decking was put down in 2016. The owner is an ABYC mechanic and has rebuilt many of the systems on board. some of the things done are, complete rewiring the yacht, most of the electronics are new or nearly new used equipment. All of the plumbing is new, there is a new washer, new hot water system, new battery charger, new chart-plotter, AIS transponder, and much more.
