This vessel was SOLD on August 18. This 1998 Dufour 35 Classic is a very nice sailboat in better than expected condition. It doesn't take long aboard this beautiful Dufour to recognize how lovingly she's been cared for. Up top, there is a very large aft cockpit with easy access to a scooped transom with a swim platform and ladder. The cockpit includes a leather-wrapped wheel, a nice pedestal electronics panel with wind and speed indicators, a Garmin Echomap GPS/plotter, and a Plastimo compass. The cockpit also includes large lazarets both port and starboard. The port lazaret has lots of storage for fenders, lines, and all sorts of other assorted deck gear. The starboard lazaret has access to the black water tank and easy access to the ProSafe FS30 30 Amp Galvanic Isolator and the Xantrex TrueCharge 2 40 Amp charger. Moving forward you'll find 2 Lewmar halyard winches and 2 Lewmar sheet winches. All lines are cleanly run for convenient single-handed sailing. There is a Sparcraft deck-stepped mast with double spreaders. The mast was rewired in 2019, including LED anchor light, and the standing rigging was serviced and tuned in 2020. The boom includes the mainsail w/cover and a lazy-jack system. The main travelers is mounted on the cabin roof fore of the cabin hatch. The sail inventory includes the mainsail, a roller furling jib, a 110 Genoa, and an asymmetric spinnaker. At the bow, you will find a large anchor locker with a Lofrans electric windlass w/remote, spade anchor, 100' chain, and 60' rode. The boat was hauled out, bottom inspected, and new bottom paint applied earlier this year (2021) Down below you will find a very spacious feeling living area, with beautiful mahogany trim, that includes a large quarter berth to port, a large V-berth forward, a large head/shower to starboard, and a very comfortable salon and galley. Brand new carpet is being installed on the sole in both the V-berth and the quarter berth. Comfort and convenience features include a 2 burner propane stove, Isomatic icebox (new 2020), a double stainless steel sink, and a Quick hot water heater that runs off of the engine or shore power. In addition, there is AM/FM stereo with CD player, a flat-screen TV with DVD player, an iCom IC-M59 VHF radio, and a Hebasto 12000 BTU air conditioner. While not under sail the boat is powered by a Volvo Penta 28 HP diesel engine pushing a Volvo Penta 120SE sail drive. The electrical reserve is provided by a NAPA Commercial Marine 8276 deep cycle (house) and a West Marine (cranking) battery new in 2020. Again, this 1998 Dufour 35 Classis is in great condition.
