Alan Pape designed, classic long-distance yacht with a cutter rig, full keel and transom-hung rudder. A professionally built, double-chine steel hull & flush deck fabricated in 1985, fitted out by the sole owner from new and first launched in 1992.

Cruised very extensively in the past 26 years around Western Europe including: Baltic sea to Helsinki,  western Norway up to the Lofoten Islands, Bergen to Shetland, Scottish West Coast, Ireland, Western France, and Northern Spain.    

This is an immensely strong and very capable long distance cruiser

Accommodation

Sleeps up to 5 in two cabins with good headroom and excellent handholds.

Forepeak – chain locker

For'cabin – Double bunk with stowage under, desk with drawer and locker above, squat seat to assist dressing.

Heads – Blakes Lavac WC, (no holding tank), twin lockers above, washbasin with cupboard under with 3 x 20 litre water carriers.
Hanging locker in passage opposite heads.

Saloon
 -  A settee/berth each side with lockers behind and stowage underneath, plus a pilot berth to starboard side. A stainless steel water tank under port berth and a master tank for paraffin, with two pressurising tanks under the starboard berth supplying the heater and the galley stove. Bookshelves and locker to port. Taylor's paraffin cabin heater.
Galley - with Taylor's paraffin double burner/oven, sink, insulated cool box with heat exchange system, practical stowage for cutlery, crockery & glasses (note that the crockery could be available by separate negotiation).
Chart Table - aft to port with chart stowage under, tool box /seat , switch panel, and VHF/DSC radio, GPS and echo-sounder.

Ventilation – 3 X Lewmar deck hatches and 3 X Dorade box vents on deck, opening port in cockpit.

Cockpit with teak grating Port and Starboard seat lockers and Lazarette that is used as a fender store.

30W Solar panel mounted on aft S/S gantry, mounting space for a Rutland wind generator (not fitted and requiring some attention to make serviceable).

Water - Approx 150Ltr divided between a S/S tank under port settee and a flexible tank under the aft end of the sole.

Aluminium mast and spars by Z Spars with mast steps.
7mm S/S wire rigging with twin backstays & 8mm forestays. Standing rigging last replaced 2008/09
Slab reefing mainsail, roller furling headsail with hank on, self-tacking inner staysail. 
Boom gallows providing an easy and neat stowage for the boom when not in use.

History And Construction

EBBTIDE 33  -  Designed by Alan Pape. Long keel with tiller steering and transom hung rudder. Fixed transom steps to starboard of rudder.
Hull professionally built by Oceancraft of Wadebridge in 1985, and fitted out by the current owner to a good standard and first launched in September 1992

CONSTRUCTION: 4mm topsides and deck, 5mm below waterline with 6mm keel plate.  Aluminium and Zinc spray coated exterior above waterline with  Epoxy primer below. 
Hull Insulation – cork granules sprayed onto 'gold sizing' for improved adhesion and over painted with emulsion paint. Interior accommodation areas plywood lined above waterline, and slatted below for ease of access to all parts of the hull.  

Bottom shotblasted and repainted in 2007. Epoxy Tar and primer inside.
