The iconic aft cockpit motor yacht, this Fairey Huntsman 28 will become part of her next owners family as she has done for her previous owners.
Designed originally by Ray Hunt and modified by Alan V. Burnard of Fairey Marine in Hamble, the Fairey Huntsman 28 is renowned for very superior handling characteristics and seakeeping. During the late 1960s and 1970s they were raced highly successfully offshore and gained many trophies.
Built in 1966, this is Hull number 87 and is powered by a pair of 1997 Cummins 6ET 210Hp engines. The engines were fitted in 2000, and have just 230 hours on them. An extensive rebuild of the boat was undertaken in 1990, and the boat has been maintained to a good standard since, including recent updates and upgrades.
The boat is currently stored inside a shed out of the elements.
Owners comment's:
She is and has been maintained to a very high standard and would welcome and viewing or survey.
Construction
Hull is of 7 x 1/8" laminations of Agba mahogany glued, compressed and baked together. Superstructure is of marine ply with teak laid decks over marine ply base. Cockpit floor is teak.

To starboard of the companionway is the galley with its sink, fresh water tap, and crockery stowage outboard under the side deck. Food and cooking utensils can be stored in the spacious locker below.
Ahead of the galley and toilet compartment are two single berths in a U shaped configuration with storage lockers under. Above each berth is a full length shelf beneath the sidedeck with lockers at the after ends. In the cabin roof is a large opening hatch.
