DESCRIPTION

A rare opportunity to own a true classic!

"Scimitar" is a lovely example of this sought after classic centre cockpit motor boat, she gives great credit to both the designs and builders at Fairey Marine.

Not many boats are baked in an oven, and not many boats built three and a half decades ago still command a healthy level of interest.

Very few marques have the pedigree of this Fairey Swordsman which is now seriously for sale as her owner feels that she deserves a new home, and all good things must sadly come to an end.

This boat has a modified interior, with a new layout to the saloon. Viewing is required to understand and appreciate the quality of the works. There are still some cosmetic works to be done to bring it back into use, please enquire for further details.

Fairey Owners Club

Although Fairey boats were built in the '50s until the early '80s, it was not until 1986 that the Fairey Owners Club was founded. Their basic idea, which remains the principal objective of the club, is to preserve the marque.
In its present form the Club organises rallies and events throughout the year, at which there is an easy exchange of information. It also has extensive archive information, which is constantly being added to.
Membership is currently more than 200 and is growing steadily. Although a large percentage of members are based on the South Coast of Britain, there are many in other parts of the UK, including Northern Ireland. There are also members as far a field as Holland, Corfu, Norway and the Maldives.
