Manufacturer Provided Description
It was the most wonderful brief for our designers that would require every ounce of their ingenuity and experience. The result is a compact Squadron with the genuine feeling of a much, much larger yacht. Each area has been designed to work in harmony with the next. Your journey through the entire yacht is seamless, with no interruptions. And it is this flow that gives a feeling of a luxurious, open space. The type of freedom you would only expect from a 50+ foot yacht. The large flybridge isn’t just for show, every aspect has been carefully considered to create the space for people to move around freely. Yes, we can safely say, it is every inch a Squadron.
Hullform and Construction
All gel coat and glass fibre hand laid with unidirectional, biaxial and woven rovings. Antifouling protection to hull. Deep 'V' forward 12.5° deadrise aft. Design, layout and detailing by the Fairline Design Team. Naval architecture and structural engineering by Bernard Olesinski. Full length hull design, with full length moulded spray deflectors, hull/deck join bolted and bonded, integrally moulded engine bearers, isophthalic gel coat backed by isophthalic resin-rich powder-bound glass mat, panoramic hull windows, stainless steel gunwale with rubber insert and a deck incorporating polyurethane foam cores for high strength and excellent thermal insulation.
The integral bathing platform gives the boat a longer waterline length for improved performance, particularly at reduced power settings. The propellers are set in semi-tunnels enabling the engines to be located further aft, also reducing draught and improving efficiency by reducing the shaft angle. Transverse and longitudinal strengthening stringers throughout hull.
