The Finnsailer 35 is a sturdy and practical motorsailer with the benefit of the splendid Perkins engine, comfortable accommodation for extended cruising and a deep, safe cockpit. With her moderate draft and short mast, she is ideal for cruising to and from the Mediterranean through the French canals & rivers. A 2014 survey report is available on request.
Accommodation :
Fitted out in mahogany to sleep 5 in 2 cabins. Up to 6’6” Headroom. From forward: anchor locker with deck hatch. Forecabin with 2 berths and an infill to make a double. Stowage’s and water tank under the berths. Shelves all round. Forehatch over. Door to the heads area. The marine WC to port can be enclosed or both doors used to give a full-width compartment with washbasin to starboard. Pressure H&C water supply. The saloon has a single settee berth to starboard and a U-shaped dinette/double berth to port. Drop leaf table. Lots of stowage outboard and under the settees. To starboard is a locker area and to port the galley. Neptune gas cooker (2 burners, grill & oven). Sink with H&C pressure water. Top-opening icebox. Hatch over the galley. Steps up to the cockpit, the forward half of which is protected by the wheel shelter with hatch over the helm. Helm position and seat to starboard. Passenger seat to port. The open cockpit is particularly deep and well protected. It has bench seats both sides and pedestal wheel steering aft with a helm seat. The cockpit benches are big enough to use as berths under the canopy. The forward part of the cockpit sole lifts to give good access to the engine.

History and Construction

Long keel motorsailer design with rounded stern. White GRP hull. White GRP deck, superstructure, and wheel shelter. Steel rudder on s/s shaft with heel bearing on keel extension. 2 Position hydraulic wheel steering. Emergency tiller. Stainless steel pulpit, pushpit, stanchions and double lifelines with access gates both sides and aft.

Masthead sloop rig with alloy spars. The mast is stepped on the coachroof and is designed to be lowered. Roller reefing main boom. Furling genoa. Stainless steel standing rigging.
