This particular yacht is one of the more pricey in its bracket but the more you read, the more you will understand why. The current owner has maintained this yacht impeccably and its next lucky owner is going to move in and sail on a dreamy plug and play basis!
Here follows the owner description of this exceptional example of a pedigree liveaboard catamaran built to the finest standards and upgraded to potentially be the best example of its year on the market.

4 cabin / 4 heads layout. Owner boat. Fully autonomous for off-grid living and extended cruising in remote locations with a huge solar array, lithium batteries, water maker and ample refrigeration and storage.
Just seen an extensive (and expensive) refit at a cost of nearly $90k USD. She's ready to go now with no work needed.
The Bahia is truly a world-class cruiser with heaps of private and communal space even for a big family. Storage space unheard of in other boats of this size, absolutely cavernous engine rooms (I had 3 people in there several times and we still had room to move around) and the fastest and most stable sailing performance in its class by a wide margin. With the new folding props she will easily return 60% of wind speed under normal sails and nearly match AWS with the spinnaker up.
Her windward pointing ability is superb, up to 35° AWA in comfort. High bridge deck clearance means I've never ever slapped the bridgedeck even when going straight into the weather.
Specs:
- New engines + sail drives Oct 2015 Upgraded to Yanmar SD-60 (can change oil from inside engine room instead of having to haul out), more efficient gear reduction with higher speed, wet multidisc instead of unreliable cone cluck that's $2k+ when it fails. All paperwork present.
- ALL original manuals and technical drawings in FP binder (rigging, sails, engines, saildrives, electric toilets, engine panels, fridge, plotter, windlass etc)
- Hard top (GRP/foam sandwich) with 4 solar panels on it.
- huge 250 lph watermaker w/ Cat Pump and 2 new membranes July 2021, double pre filters 25 and 5 mc + carbon filter. Potable water from the taps
- 8kw of Lifepo4 batteries with new MPPT charge controllers. Can easily go 4 days without sun and can power a portable AC unit with the big inverter on board.
With this much power there is no need for a generator, that's why she's so light. Batteries can still be charged with the engines' 120A alyernators if needed.

When choosing a boat I had 3 requirements i wasn't prepared to compromise on: 1) safety, 2) performance, and 3) comfort. The Bahia struck the perfect balance of all 3 and tops it with a beautiful design. Every line is made to cut through wind regardless of angle. She is also VERY light, without the need to carry a heavy SLA house bank or a lot of water. A whole tonne lighter. The high output watermaker takes care of all water needs in less than 30min a day and on a sunny day you can be running all 3 fridges, systems and the inverter and still see 65A going into the lithium batteries.
Speed and handling-wise, she'll run circles around any modern catamaran. You'll easily get double digits in 15knt of breeze. Without wind the 3-blade Flexofold props easily return 6.5knt on one engine or up to 9.5 with both wide open if you're in a hurry. Engines have very low hours (around 2000 amd 500), start on the button and have just been fully serviced.
Also available for sale separately a 12' hypalon Genesis dinghy with centre console and 30hp 4 stroke Honda outboard ($15k new), a Bauer Mariner 190Lpm dive compressor ($12k new), a 15" Furuno TZTL 15F touchscreen monitor and 6 complete scuba kits (BCDs, regs, tanks, masks + fins).
Boat is in Phuket Thailand, Thai flagged with Thai VAT paid, has a commercial license already renewed and paid and is currently stored on the hard for rainy season, ready to splash. She is truly a turn-key vessel.
