Boat Overview

Kevala is a 2019 build Fountaine Pajot Lucia 40 Maestro. Oceanic version (owners layout with 3 cabins, 2 heads and 2 showers). She has had one private owner from new and has been lightly used in the shoulder seasons and stored ashore over the winter.

As part of a three-year maintenance package, she has been available to charter in July August. Kevala is a well-maintained boat and viewing is recommended.

Accommodation

Spacious saloon with virtually 360-degree vision, electric dining table convertible into coffee table and double berth, with u-shaped bench seating in saloon, galley and navigation station. The starboard hull has a private owners’ suite with semi-island double berth, desk/dressing table, full length wardrobe, separate toilet and a very spacious shower/sink area. The port hull has a semi-island double cabin aft, a double cabin forward and a central bathroom. The cockpit has a large table with plenty of seating and the helm has a spacious double seat.

• Square top Main with slab reefing with one auto reef and two manual reefs
• Furling Genoa
• Topping lift replaced 2024
• Genoa sheets replaced 2024

Engines

Two Volvo Penta D1-30. 30 Hp (Total 60 hp) with circa 1500 hours running. The engines have been professionally serviced each year to the Volvo maintenance requirements.

Anchor

An upgraded anchor system has been fitted comprising 25kg Rocna anchor with 70 meters of 10 mm anchor chain. Including factory fitted Quick digital chain counter/controller mounted at the helm station.

Antifoul

Copper coat anti foul system has been applied from new.

Tender

A ZAR 10 dinghy with 6 Hp Tohatsu outboard engine. The outboard has been professionally maintained annually.

Navigation Equipment

All navigation equipment Garmin, factory fitted and comprises:

• Radar GMR 18HD+
• AIS 800 Transponder (transmit and receive)
• GPSMAPS 7400 series chart plotter at the helm station
• Autohelm with GHC 20 display at helm station

Two Panasonic 240 W panels (total 480W) post purchase fitted on the coach roof. Feeding 4 off Factory fitted Varta deep cycle AGM 115 amp hour service batteries. (Total 460 amp hour, replaced September 2024).

The galley is fitted with:

• Panasonic NN-CD58JS oven/grill/microwave
• Upgraded factory fitted dining table with remote control to raise and lower
• Upgrade Factory fitted Vitrifrigo two drawer fridge freezer unit

Heads

There are two heads onboard. Port hull is a Jabasco manual pump action. Starboard owners’ cabin is a Sanimarine SFA electric toilet.

Showers

There are two full height standing showers on board. One in each hull. There is plumbing for a washing machine in the forward starboard shower locker.

Lighting

All lighting on board is LED. Additional factory fitted blue courtesy deck lighting.

Rear Deck
