DESCRIPTION

Mahe 36 - Duo

The Mahe 36 was one of the 3rd generations of catamarans produced by the Fountaine Pajot shipyard in La Rochelle France. Designed to meet the demand for the smaller sized cruising catamaran at the time.
For her size, she is modern and spacious. The Mahe 36 is the smallest of Fountaine Pajot’s range, but “Good things come in small packages” they say, and this little beauty is a nice example of that.

Catamarans need to be light to sail well and this is an ideal combination of weight reduction combined with strength due to the resin infusion process pioneered by Fountaine Pajot. A great size for exploring the Mediterranean, reasonable size for mooring costs and a great all-round performer.

She performs amazingly well in light airs and offers exciting sailing for the enthusiast. A real little pocket rocket and rarely available especially in this condition and layout, you will not find better for your hard earned dosh than this one!

Rather than cram lots of cabins and heads into a small boat, for me, this is an ideal layout with two “owners hulls” in the “Duo Version”. Two Queen-size double berths with spacious shower and heads compartments in each bow, rare as hens' teeth in the Duo version and I think its the best option and surprised more have not been built.

If you do get any surprise guests turn up the saloon easily converts into an extra double if required and some owners have put an extra single berth in the bow peak.

This particular Mahe 36 is rather special and owned and loved by a former boat builder who has shown his skills in making many very useful and practical improvements, which make life aboard even more easy. The current owners have kept this Mahe in absolutely superb condition inside and out and maintained exceptionally well. Viewers will not be disappointed and the first to take the trouble to view will no doubt snap the owner's arm off at this price and condition.

The Mahe is really an ideal Mediterranean boat and she is located in mainland Spain on the beautiful Ebro Delta which is a haven for catamarans and is probably the cheapest place to keep a boat in Spain. With a striking distance of the Islands of Ibiza and Mallorca, it is a friendly place in all, and on our list of Catamaran Friendly Marinas on the services page of our website.

As the sole broker for this particular catamaran, we will be happy to pick up prospective purchasers from Valencia, Reus, or Tarragona airports if needed.

The current owners have also spent money on the boat only improved it since they have owned it and have enjoyed the boat immensely, but now looking to get a larger catamaran in the near future to travel further afield.

The Duo version is a nice concept allowing two large spacious cabins and en-suite facilities. The Saloon table could also be converted into a berth or day bed for those surprise extra guests if required.
