A nineteen thirties Norwegian runabout with trailer

Maken which means seagull in Norwegian is a typical runabout from the nineteen thirties. The boat was designed by the eponymous designer in Skilso Norway, Furuholmen. Apparently the main shipwright working on her was called Roland! The vendor even has photographs of the boat from the thirties.
She has a pine on oak hull. The foredeck is finished in traditional green canvas. The woodwork on the interior and the screen is varnished mahogany. The main restoration work was finished 2 years ago and was done by a professional from the famous boatyard in Risoer, south Norway, where they run wooden boat festivals annually in August.

The boat builder was so proud of his work that he has started using the boat in his company logo.

The engine was restored 10 years ago in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is a 65 HK Volvo Penta and is in fair condition.

The sunshade and cover are clearly visible in the photos. This is one of the most exciting open boats to come up for sale for a while and should attract a great deal of interest.
