Main Salon

The Main Salon of the Grand Banks 36 Classic features 2 entrances, one from each side companionway. The starboard side entry leads directly to the interior Helm, facilitating easy single-handed and shorthanded docking. The port side entry provides immediate access to the Master cabin. Upon entering from this side, you are greeted with a well laid out living space. A flip-up tabletop (gullwing style) with comfortable cushioned seating in a wraparound L style makes dining with guests easy. The Galley is designed linearly along the port side, featuring a flip-down Counter/Heat Shields combo at the stove/oven and 2 fill-in counter inserts at the sink. A microwave is included for convenient cooking. The salon is filled with natural light, offering great views and keeping you connected with your surroundings while anchored or standing watch from the interior helm in less favorable conditions. Numerous upgrades have been added to the Main Salon; please check them out elsewhere in this listing.

Aft (Master) Cabin

Descending into the Aft Cabin, typically regarded as the Master, you will find ample storage on your right side. Beautiful louvered doors conceal extensive hanging storage, with lights that activate automatically when the door is opened. TWO spacious berths are located in the cabin. The port side features a single bunk that doubles as storage when not in use. The assumed Master Berth area is a roomy double on the starboard side, with direct access to a well-designed head area, complete with a fully separate shower stall, new electric head, and a generously sized vanity with storage. An egress hatch/companionway at the aft end of the cabin allows for direct access to the deck area without passing through the Salon, and can also serve as a screened opening for comfortable nights spent enjoying the paradise you are exploring. The design incorporates ample storage, explaining why the 36 Classic is frequently sought after as a cruiser’s liveaboard, Great Looper, and Bahamas-ready trawler.

Forward Cabin

The Forward Cabin, serving as a guest cabin or overflow storage, is comfortable with good storage as you descend the stairs. The V Berth accommodates 2 single berths or can be filled in to create a comfortable Queen/Double sleeping arrangement. An attached head features a newly upgraded electric head, with a curtained shower area, making this a semi-wet head/shower design. There is plenty of headroom throughout the cabin and head, making this a pleasant guest quarter.

A teak swim platform and a fresh water washdown area are located at the aft. The Fly Bridge offers fantastic space, both covered and uncovered, with fore and aft facing seating ideal for entertaining underway or at the dock. A hard Bimini provides protection from the sun and light rain.
