DESCRIPTION

TheHallberg-Rassy 40 is a go anywhere cruising yacht, comfortable and capable. She is offered for sale by her second long term owner who has enjoyed sailing her in the UK and the Med.
SEA HAWK is extremely easy to sail short handed with electric furling for the jib and main plus a versatile cutter rig for confident long distance cruising. Close quarter manoeuvring is assisted by a powerful bow thruster and 54hp Yanmar engine.

SEA HAWK benefits from a large head forward and practical sea-going galley immediately to Port as you come down the secure companionway. She also boasts the comfortable arm chairs in the saloon.

All areas are easy to access including the large engine bay located under the cockpit sole.

Accommodation

Hallberg-Rassy 40 Classic interior with large heads forward of main bulkhead.
All interior woodwork in light mahogany matt silk finish.  Locker doors with solid wood frames and ventilation above. The floor is varnished teak faced plywood with inlaid holly stripes.  Saloon ceiling has panelling with mahogany stripes and the ceilings in remainder of boat have light ivory headlining.  The boat has Blue upholstery, biege carpet and pale yellow curtains.

MAIN SALOON:
Two easy chairs to Port with stowage underneath, L-shaped settee to starboard, with stowage behind. Infill for starboard settee to increase width of bunk. Between the settees is a dropleaf table with bottle stowage in centre section.  Wempe clock, barometer and hydro/thermometer in chrome.  Hi-fi/DVD Audio system with two speakers. TV set with DVD and TV antenna.   Headroom in saloon 1.92m/6’3½’’.

GALLEY:
Working surface in PlexiCor composite stone with strong, all round mahogany fiddle rail.  Insulated icebox with basket and water cooled 12v compressor for chilling.  Double sink with pressurised hot & cold freshwater.  Seagull drinking water purifier.  Two burner gas cooker with oven.  Stowage for crockery & cutlery.  Bread board.  Waste bin.

HEADS COMPARTMENT:
Bulkheads and lockers in white laminate.  Teak grating.  Washbasin and work top in Corian composite stone.  Large mirror.  Separate shower with watertight shower stall.  12v shower waste water pump.  12v Electric marine toilet with Fresh Water flush.  Stainless steel holding tank, 72 litre capacity, emptied by gravity or by deck pump out.   Cupboard above and below washbasin. Candy half load washing machine. Ventilation through opening porthole, opening deck hatch as well as a electrolux type vent.  Headroom 1.93m in the shower, 1.92m in heads compartment.

FORWARD CABIN:
Two 2.05m/6’ 9’’ long berths with ample stowage above and below and a number of lockers. Mattress toppers. Hanging locker and vanity unit.  Infill cushion between the berths.  Opening skylight with OceanAir skyscreen under.

CHART TABLE:
Lift up chart table seat with spacious chart table.  Above is a shelf and space for navigation instruments.  Electric switch panel to the right of the navigator.  There are drawers and stowage slots.  Pencil holder.  Two bookshelves.

WALKTHROUGH:
Large rubber sealed two-door access to the engine room off the walkthrough.   Additional top loading 12v deep freezer with dual thermostat. Generous walkthrough headroom, maximum 1.83m/6’.

AFT CABIN:
The aft cabin has a hanging locker to starboard and two comfortable berths. Mattress toppers. LED reading lights. Stowage room below and above.  Mirror.  Seat between the berths.
