Boat Overview

The Halmatic 30 is a well-built, long-keeled cruiser. They are excellent all-weather performers capable of serious passage making with forgiving and comfortable performance. The interior is traditionally laid out but is spacious and practical. It is rare to find a boat of this age in such good condition; 'Procyon' is a really excellent example of this marque. She comes with new sails, a new engine installed in 2020, new standing rigging in 2023, and a Seafeather wind vane on her transom. She is ready to sail away. Accommodation

The accommodation offers up to five berths and there is full standing headroom and excellent stowage throughout. In the forecabin, there is a V berth with infill and stowage under. Opening hatch to foredeck. Good sized heads compartment to starboard with marine WC (2018) and washbasin. Hanging locker opposite. In the saloon, there are two settee berths with a pilot berth above to starboard. Fixed table with drop leaves. Chart table to starboard with adjacent wet hanging locker and galley opposite. Two burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven. Refrigerator. Stainless steel sink. Pressurised water system. 170 litre freshwater capacity. LED lighting in saloon. Eberspacher diesel fired hot air central heating. Gimballed oil lamp. She has been re-upholstered and comes complete with curtains.

Mechanical Systems

Located behind the companionway, Beta Marine 20hp three cylinder diesel engine installed new in 2020, with new shaft and propeller. Electric start. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Shaft drive to three bladed propeller. Single lever control. 70 litre fuel capacity giving approximately 120 mile range at 5 knot cruising speed. Maximum speed under power 6.5 knots. New cutless bearing 2021. Various engine spares. Approximately 513 engine hours.

Built in 1979 by Halmatic to a design by John Sharp. White GRP hull with style stripes. Teak toe rail. White GRP superstructure with painted non-slip to deck. Long keel with cast iron ballast. Keel hung rudder. Tiller steering. Aft self draining cockpit. Teak laid cockpit seating. Teak cockpit grating.
